It may be an unpopular opinion but I have a different take on Spirit guides .

It's right there in the name: spirit guides.

They're here to guide you, not to live your life for you. They're not here to force you down a particular path or make your decisions for you. Instead, I believe they're here to help you see the possibilities that are in front of you.

Sometimes they may even show you several different options and then allow you to decide which direction you want to take.

I think of spirit guides much like teachers or mentors. A teacher can show you something and teach you how to do it, but they can't make you actually do it. A mentor can give you advice and point you in a direction, but the choice to follow that advice is still yours.

I believe spirit guides work in much the same way.

I don't really want to call them a "tool," because they are much more than that. But in a sense, they are something that can help you along your path. They're not here to walk the path for you. They're here to walk beside you, offer guidance, and help you when they can.

And that's important to remember: they aren't going to force you to be on the "right" path.

We all have our own journey. No one else here on Earth can walk your path for you, and I don't believe our spirit guides are meant to do that either. They can be a helpful friend, a teacher, or a guide, but ultimately, you are the one living this life.

Some people say they don't hear their spirit guides talking to them. But I don't think guidance always has to come through hearing an actual voice.

It can sometimes be that little thought that suddenly pops into your head.

You might think, "I don't know why that just popped into my head."

Maybe it's something worth paying attention to.

Sometimes it may be a feeling, an idea, a coincidence, or something that seems to keep repeating itself. It could be a message or simply something your intuition is trying to bring to your attention.

The important thing is to pay attention and see what it's showing you.

But remember: it's showing you a path. It's not making you walk it.

That's where your free will comes in.

In the end, this is your life and your life only. You get to make the decisions about where you go and what you do. Your spirit guides may be there to offer guidance, point out possibilities, and help you along the way.

But the choice is still yours.

They're here to guide you along whatever path you decide to take.
